| FULL CIRCLE – Dr. MARLA SHAPIRO helps celebrate phenomenal women in support of The Mississauga Waterfront Festival’s “SPONSOR A CHILD” program.
Admired for her intelligence and her many accomplishments, “Dr. Marla” or “Canada’s Doctor” as she is known, seemed to have it all. Dr. Marla Shapiro will share her intimate, inspiring and often surprising account of her invasive breast cancer illness that became her greatest life lesson in the work life balance. Share in an evening meant to arouse, educate and help you discover how we all can take charge of our own life. She will speak to “Mindful – Taking Charge of Your Life’s Journey”. A story infused with emotion, humour and strength, Dr. Marla’s book, “Dr. Marla Shapiro Life in The Balance My Journey with Breast Cancer” will be available for purchase and signing.

Full Circle – An award winning benefit for children is an event geared to the celebration of the accomplishments of women, but, of course, men are welcome and encouraged to attend. The evening includes business networking, a runway fashion show courtesy of Images That Suit and other local fashion houses, a four-course sit-down dinner, silent auction, raffles, secret scrolls, live entertainment and a fabulous gift bag for attendees.
Chuck Jackson and Johnny Max join us this year as models and performers and Mississauga’s Future Star, Dale Luarca, will round out the entertainment line up.
Full Circle raises money and awareness of our “Sponsor a Child” program. Since 2004, our Full Circle event has raised $120,000.00 enabling us to sponsor more children from local shelters and community groups to attend the festival free of charge, enjoy free carnival rides, food and lots of great entertainment and attractions all weekend. Since 1997, we have fully sponsored over 28,500 children and their families. For many, it’s the highlight of their summer. For some, their only summer holiday.
